Yesterday, April 24th saw the start of Cycle Against Suicide 2016. Now in its fourth year, shoulder to shoulder, over 7,000 people will cycle some or all of 1,100 KMs across the island of Ireland, over 14 days, through over 100 towns and villages; meeting 20,000 students to help break the Cycle of Suicide in Ireland.
PulseLearning CEO, Jim Breen founded Cycle Against Suicide in 2012, following the overwhelming response to his appearance on RTÉ’s The Secret Millionaire television program. Cycle Against Suicide is a confrontational campaign that pinpoints the scourge of suicide as a foe to be confronted and overcome. The Cycle is aimed to help raise awareness for the supports available for suicide prevention on the island of Ireland and to promote the message ‘it’s ok not to feel ok and it’s absolutely ok to ask for help.’
Join us in wishing Jim and all the team at Cycle Against Suicide best wishes for a safe and successful two-week campaign.
